Work & Play…
So... it's been a break since the last post, and a week since the start of my attachment in BPGHS. Well, attachment is very manageable (though sometimes, it seems rather pointless). Nevertheless, I have to say that the students there were awesome! Shockingly smart! Classroom management seems to be a non-existent issue that anyone would bother with. To compensate for this, the academic curriculum is ultra rigorous though! Imagine the kids at secondary 2 knowing "cheem" stuffs like electrolytes, and being able to reproduce covalent anionic structures at the back of their hand. Honestly, it's seriously an eye-opener for me! hahaha.

hahah, me @ work! ok! (i not twang hor!)
Apart from that, it is weird that I can be part of the "arrow-shooting" game here. Also, this place is amazingly "techie!". Attendance marking is done in the form of FINGERPRINTING!! Just when I thought marking attendance and securing office access via the tapping of EZLink is cool enough, here comes along a fingerprinting system - so well, I never have to worry about not bringing my card with me! woots~ So well, will there be a school that does retina scans?

Enough of the mundane work. Went for some simple meetups with my dear sec sch frens for a short trip to marina barrage, some korean food and a Kbox session on a subsequent day. However, due to the wet weather, kite flying wasn't possible and we ended up playing very very very (x infinity) games under a shelter initiated by my crappiness. lolx. After which, Ms Heigu decided to gave us a treat over a very EXOTIC korean dinner where she suddenly instructed me to swerve into a carpark in the midst of us all singing all so happily in the car! Anyway, the korean food was actually quite good, just that I probably haven't got enough exposure to get used to that diet. hahaha.

After all these, went for a road trip to Malacca. Alrite, honestly, this was an ultra impromptu trip that was as random as could be.

chicken rice balls!
random museum...

Sadly so, Mahkota Parade was really disappointing. Comparing to the times when I first set foot there, probably around sec 4 with the scouts, the experience this time was crap. Thankfully though, at least there are some new complexes up around that area!
Kampung Adventure
Sorry for the lack of updates ever since the wonderful emirates flight. and well, took some time off and explored 3 states of malaysia (technically, it's just setting foot on them). After seeing cities after cities, it is nevertheless nice to explore some rural areas and experience how "terrible" living conditions could get in this era. But well, the main reason of actually going there is because my mum's small little business has decided to start a branch there... Hmmm, though the location of her shop is what I would call a "鸟不生蛋的地方". Apart from the location, I guess I'll have to give credit to the interior though.

the very "exotic" tau sar pau!

and goodness me, I had to spend so much time designing these signboards for my mum while studying for my exams!
and these interior acrylic 3D ones as well! (so well, i have every reason not to do that well in my exams! haha!)

pixie's the name. I bought this doggie when I was secondary 2. and now, i'm glad it's still surviving well in m'sia!

pixie and his wife - milky.
tell me if u ever catch this amt of houseflies in SG.
python on the loose! haha.

rambutans!
arowana farm!
dragonfly! nice rite!
wet rice fields.

driving at this speed would be a torture.
for "hygiene"...

bukit merah theme park.
and some ice kachang to end the trip!
and as I was heading home in the night, I totally forgot how to drive!!! zomg! I ended up losing control over the car and made a 90 degrees right turn at 90km/h, while accidentally stepping on both the brakes and the accelerator! Somehow, the end result was that I inadvertently performed a drift from lane 1 to lane 3 (almost ramping up a bus stop) across a Cross Junction. WTH. Seriously, damn chua sai! Argh, I'm seriously thankful I'm still alive. Hmmm, and well, apart from this, my mum had my fortune told again - and as always it wouldn't always be perfect. So well, it's predicted that I'm gonna be a failure in much aspects of life.
The Long Haul Flight
Finally, an extremely hectic conclusion to year 2. Firstly, the exams were as usual - weird. Most of it were nothing like the past year papers and it's honestly all "thinking-on-the-spot". So well, I didn't know how well I thought on the spot, and thus couldn't really say what kind of results I would expect. But well, I'm kindof sure I wouldn't fail and end up being back in august for the resits though! So well, I guess that concludes it well - I should be able to promote up to my FINAL year! argh!
As soon as the exams ended, did some intense clearing of the booze I had in my room, not forgetting the heaps of rubbish that I've accumulated over the 9 months! and well, I really almost wanted to kill myself trying to pack my entire "财产" into the boxes that I had. I simply had too much stuffs! Anyway, I ended up utilising 2 Tea Cartons and 5 book boxes! zomg! and it's purely one person's worth of possessions!

Ok, just back-dated updates as well. Had a house-dinner (before my exams) at aberdeen steak house - some 'atas' steak house in london! Well, it's not like we were spendthrift or something... But well, I guess I'm sick of eating 'chinese' in london always and should really go for something 'london' or 'english', minus the usual fish and chips! =) So well, steakhouse - there we go.

Also, at the instant that I handed over my house keys, ambivalent thoughts actually surfaced on my mind. Despite what others may have thought of the place I live, I guess it still did serve me well - for a full 9 months - providing me shelter in a foreign land (that actually no longer foreign at all to me). So well, I hereby thank my little abode in london for my 2nd year - Flat 9, Chamberlain House (aka. most sexiest house - internal joke). Believing in leaving the place in a better condition than when you first set foot on it, I certainly did that to the house! and I'm glad I did. Every single soul would agree - and I suppose that how our flat became just a "high human traffic" showflat this year - disrupting my revision! hhaha.
Ok... so I've actually embarked on my long haul flight journey! hehehe. As exciting as it could be, I made it such that I'ld be spending exactly 24 hours travelling! and when I mean travelling, it means on transport and waiting between the transports - aka homeless. I know some people (like me mum) keeps saying that I'm damn 犯贱, but well, I kindof like this feeling of travelling (alone). So well, as you might have guessed, I'm actually blogging from Dubai Internal Airport!!! Heavenly place!

Owell, and yes, I'm taking EMIRATES again! Wonderful experience - as always. Despite the extremely high expectations I had on my previous 4 flights with them, the fifth flight (today) was just as (or even better) than the previous flights! Contrary to popular stereotypes, I think the emirates' air stewardess are actually amazingly pretty as well - and yet, super service-oriented and humble. Unlike some "act-zai" airlines which I'm not gonna name - but it begins with 'S' and ends with 'IA". The worst of the worst, i suppose. Those stewards and stewardess thinks they are "so up there", not giving a damn about economy class passengers. and I guess the ONLY time that particular airline smiles at you is when you are disembarking the plane - honestly, they can't wait to end their job.

So well, instead of paying more and suffer more, I rather pay less and enjoy this wonderful emirates service really! Plus, the food is power-packed on k! They'll feed you until you EXPLODE! hahaha. So well, unlike melissa chan who has achieved her silver skywards, I'm also gonna try collecting miles and convert my blue skywards to a silver skywards member! hahah, and one day, I'm gonna upgrade to business class for FREE! and zomg, I only realised silver and gold class members board first - jealous. haha.

Ok... So well, anyway, if you're wondering why am I able to be loitering for a whole good 24 hours, that co'z I purposely chose flights that keep stopping, landing for the weirdest reasons like refuelling and transits! hhehe. Fun.
So well, till then.... when my last flight EK348 lands at Terminal 1 tonight! wahahahha! Hope I don't die of the temperature or choke on the saturated air moisture!
The Year 2 Finals!
The paper just wasn't as expected, wasn't as "standard" as the usual ones, and gosh, things I studied apparently didn't come out, but well, I'm hoping that this "impromptu" solving thing actually works! argh.
Nevertheless, I'm glad it's now: (June 14th)
3 DOWN; 7 to GO!
(Updated June 15th)
Although all wasn't perfect with many grossly done errors over the scripts... It was still nice to see that I'm more that halfway through!!!!
6 DOWN; 4 to GO!
(Updated June 17th)
and wahahha! Finally, it ended!!! friggin' shag!!!!
DONE!
Need for enlightenment!
As I was trying to seive through my emails trying to figure out what is need to be studied for the maths module, I was kindof stumped when there's gonna be a question based on this slide:
Can any maths expert care to comment of WTH is the message he is trying to convey?

Crap... This just means another module going down the drain. Thank goodness linear algebra was covered in F.Maths - saved my so much trouble revising! wahahha!
